PROTECTAS SA therefore had its range of training courses inspected and promptly received EduQua certification. The label is awarded to companies and institutions which are particularly committed to thorough and comprehensive training of employees or students.

The EduQua certification, which was undertaken for PROTECTAS SA by the renowned SQS company in Zollikofen, is a mark of the quality of the excellent training courses offered by PROTECTAS. Quality training is extremely important for employees working in the field of security – since appropriate and rapid action is frequently required during operations.

EduQua is awarded to companies and educational institutions which are particularly committed to the training of employees or students. Over 1,000 certificates have been awarded to date. The label is intended to contribute towards ensuring and develop the quality of training offered by further education institutions. It is also intended to create a greater degree of transparency – for trainees themselves, as well as for those who are interested in receiving high-quality training.
The process involves certification of the entire range of courses offered by the institution and not only the individual training modules.

Inspection not only covers the training courses themselves but also accompanying aspects such as the range of information, the friendliness and professional expertise of the training specialists, the training documentation provided and the costs of the training course.

While the training course is taking place, inspectors assess whether the course delivers what it promised beforehand. Other aspects that are evaluated include whether the course content motivates the participants to learn, whether the course leaders and trainers are motivated and proficient, whether the teaching is suitable for the needs of adults and whether the instruction sessions are varied. The certification will then be checked every three years. PROTECTAS has stressed the value of good training courses for many years – not only for learners but also in adult education. This award is a further step towards making the endeavours of PROTECTAS in the field of training visible externally as well, but it also represents an important landmark for its 2,500 employees. PROTECTAS continues to encourage improvements in the quality of its training courses – although the award already represents a considerable achievement now.
