Screening

Mainly used by airport security staff, X-ray checking equipment prevents illegal objects being taken into a defined restricted zone. Security operators analyse information provided by the checking equipment.

Tasks
• View X-ray images
• Analyze information provided from this checking equipment
• Establish who is the owner of  this object is established
• Remove (or have removed) uncertainty in compliance with instructions
• Alert specialized services when intervention required exceeds the duties of the officer

Instructions
• Facilitate access and passage to the checking equipment
• Filter, using available technical resources, objects in the presence of carriers
• Examine shape and contents of objects on the screen to identify those which are suspect or prohibited
