The Supervisory Board of the Securitas Holding GmbH confirmed COO Jens Müller in his position; his mandate was extended for another five years.
Müller is a proven security industry expert who has been working for Securitas Deutschland and its legal predecessors for decades. In 2009, he left Hamburg to join the Securitas Holding. Following the Supervisory Board decision made in Düsseldorf on Wednesday, Müller was appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Managing Director until the end of November 2020.
"Securitas focuses on continuity – and the sustainability of our success shows that the decision is right. Our management's expertise is crucial to our successful development," says CEO Manfred Buhl, welcoming the decision made by the Supervisory Board. "Jens Müller leads and strengthens our operating business. His long-term strategic vision allows us to make progress as a solution provider," Buhl added. In the latest "Lünendonk-Studie 2015 Führende Sicherheitsdienstleister in Deutschland" (leading security providers in Germany), Securitas has once again been clearly confirmed as market leader. This is also due to Jens Müller's efforts, said Buhl.
Jens Müller thanked the Supervisory Board for the trust placed in him: "We operate in a growth industry. Thanks to our strategic orientation and strong consulting expertise in the area of security solutions, we will be able to take advantage of our opportunities."
Jens Müller was born in the Hanseatic City of Hamburg in 1961. He is Chairman of the Hamburg State committee of the Federal Association of German Security Companies (BDSW, Bundesverband der Sicherheitswirtschaft), as well as a member of several collective-bargaining committees. He is also a voluntary member of the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce and a member of the advisory committee of the Security Management study program at the Northern Business School in Hamburg. Apart from Jens Müller, the Securitas Deutschland management team consists of Manfred Buhl (CEO), Elke Hollenberg (CFO) and Gabriele Biesing (Head of Human Resources / CHRO).
