Constructive Dialogues

We engage in dialogues that aim to better our performance, on an international, national and local level.

Global Agreement with UNI

Securitas has a global agreement with the UNI (Union Network International) trade-union organization and the Swedish Transport Workers Association regarding responsibility for communicating the Securitas Code of Conduct. The Code and the implementation agreement have been translated into most of the languages spoken in the markets where Securitas conducts operations. This work is headed by the Implementation Group for the Development of Good Working Relations in the Securitas Group. The Group consists of a representative from UNI, one from the Swedish Transport Workers Association, Securitas’ President and CEO, and members of Securitas’ various divisions.  The Group evaluates and follows up all cross-border issues that are relevant to the Code on an annual basis.

Local Dialogues

We also engage in local dialogues with the aim of improving our performance. In Sweden, a Security Council enables security officers and their trade-union representatives to influence their situation. There is also a council that facilitates direct dialogue with trade unions. In more specialized matters, detailed dialogues and joint improvement efforts are carried out. One example is the Equipment Council, which determines and discusses such matters as uniforms, communication equipment and flashlights in cooperation with trade unions and safety representatives.
