Celio has more than 330 shops. The brand is known and appreciated for its wide range of products. So the shops have to combat anonymous daytime pilfering, but also and increasingly, they are trying to prevent night-time intrusions and even fires started by criminals.
Celio has chosen to protect its teams and its shops with monitoring security systems. Recently, the group has also approached Securitas for security agents.
"Collaboration only started recently, but I am very satisfied on the whole", affirms Dominique Godet, Celio Security Manager Europe.
"Before Securitas Alert Services, we did have monitoring, but the company providing it when I arrived in 2004 was not satisfactory. I expect 'pure, hard' management, so since I had already worked with Securitas that, of course, was what I requested of you. It was also essential to choose a provider with sufficient capacity to accompany our huge growth!"
Securitas Alert Services provides Celio shops with a range of services, from subscription to remote monitoring to night-time patrols, as well as daytime security agents. The provision depends upon the type of shop: for high risk (recent opening in sensitive area, for example) or average risk (at the Christmas period), the shop will have specific support from a qualified security agent.
"Fortunately, with Securitas, there is on-the-spot reaction", specifies the Security Manager, who continues: "not only is the price competitive but more particularly, it works in everyday practice: if a shop requests security support, for whatever reason, Securitas immediately sends an agent for a few days. "With monitoring, shop opening control is an essential administration and management tool. In addition to intrusions or fire, which is often started deliberately, this control makes it possible to manage abnormal openings outside usual working hours, more seriously. It makes it possible to validate exceptional shop openings, but also to supervise our teams by bringing pressure to bear with regard to the security instructions! Everything is accessible in our Intranet. We act completely transparently but firmly", concludes Mr. Godet.
"It must be possible to contact the shop’s directors at any time via the remote monitoring station. They have an interest in what is happening at their shop and, obviously, the effectiveness of the new security installation greatly compensates for the constraints. Anyway, the new instructions have already become routine!"
