"Be Careful with the Packages" - Logistics in France

Warehouses are vulnerable spaces, not easy to control. Actually, considerable traffic and size make guarding complex. Robbery is the most important risk for express delivery services companies, strong loss from a financial point of view but also concerning image.

Securitas has opened a specialized branch in logistics in Paris to bring appropriate solutions for specific requirements. The objective is to display permanent guarding provided by specialized and experimented security officers, to respond to specific needs from logistics clients.

Increased Responsibilities

Securitas strategy is to focus on prevention. On the menu: traffic and authorization control, permanent guarding, vigilance and rigorous staff checking.

Securitas Logistics branch puts guards at the centre of security services. They security officers receive a specific logistic training, in addition to the basic training. This specific training aim to make the security officers aware of their responsibilities and of warehouses’ issues: more vigilance and professionalism.

On TNT depots, security officers’ expertise is the base of efficient and convincing protection. A monthly reporting is presented to the client by Securitas, summarizing controls and information about the site security. Even though permanent checks are realized on prevention devices, TNT staff is also submitted to security requirements (bags inspection, identity checks, etc.).

Showing that security is provided, Securitas strengthens dissuasive impact of permanent guarding.
