Why did you apply for the scholarship?

My Area Manager told me that there is the opportunity to apply for the Melker Schörling Scholarship. I read about the scholarship on the home page and I applied because I wanted to see how ticket inspection is working in another country, especially in a bigger city than Graz. To know more about how to deal with the technical part of ticket inspection would be very interesting as well. 

What did you learn/gain from the study visit?

To see how Securitas in Hamburg is working together with their clients and employees was very impressive. I gained lots of new ideas to further improve cooperation with our clients and for boosting employee motivation.

It was unbelievable to see how the ticket inspectors carried out an exit control or a complete ticket inspection in a bus. I realized how important it is to have ongoing training for the ticket inspectors.

How will you share this knowledge/ experience within your organization?

I have already shared a lot of information in meetings with co-workers, ticket inspectors and together with my Area Manager in meetings with some of our clients. My ambition is now to integrate some of the gained knowledge into my daily work.
