As a market leader, Securitas understands how vital it is to continue to invest and develop our core business in good times and bad. Prioritizing profitability and organic growth by focusing on the right solutions for our customers remains at the forefront of our business strategy, which is based on three cornerstones: higher specialization, the expansion of Mobile and Monitoring, and an increased global presence.
Specialization
For Securitas, specialization is based on the simple idea that by focusing our energies on what we know and do best, we create better results for our customers. This is accomplished by focusing on four key aspects of specialization: segmenting our operations, increasing our technical knowledge, sharing best practices and adding volume and know-how through acquisitions.
Segmenting our operations allows us to further specialize our branch offices by customer segments. By organizing our offerings in a way that reflects the functional needs of our customers, we generate stronger margins, promote fresh ideas, and provide better services. Segmentation in certain regions is also strengthened by adding volume and knowledge through acquisitions.
Increased knowledge is another key aspect of specialization. Securitas academies and a range of technical experts and advisors work to provide in-depth knowledge in the development of the latest security services and technology. We also increase knowledge internally, tapping the wealth of expertise that already exists in our organization, by sharing best practices.
Expansion of Mobile and Monitoring
The second cornerstone of our strategy is the expansion of Mobile and Monitoring. Over the past two years, we have hired approximately 80 new sales professionals, opened new patrol routes, invested in Track and Trace product development and implemented a number of acquisitions in support of this strategic goal. The overall objective is to achieve higher growth than we have ever had before.
Increased Global Presence
With 20,000 security officers and a leading market position in Argentina and Uruguay, our success in Latin America marks another step toward the wider strategic goal of increasing our global presence. As we expand operations in other regions such as Asia, Eastern Europe and the Middle East, Securitas aims to secure greater worldwide demand for our high-quality security services.
