The Indo- German Urban Mela ties at the heart of Germany and India marking 60 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
This is being celebrated with exciting and diverse range of collaborative events in India. The collaborative program highlights projects that focus on sharing issues and solutions related to sustainable urban development in both countries.
The Indo-German Urban Mela will travel to five cities across India (Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, New Delhi and Pune) exploring the shared challenges and opportunities with new audiences. This event will have its focus on the challenges that both countries face with areas such as urban planning, public transportation sustainability, education and urban culture and these issues will be addressed in a unique, innovative and engaging way.
Securitas India has been chosen their preferred security partner for the entire event across all five cities, which will last till January 2013. Mumbai being the first city to host the event, the program was carried out with the help of Securitas’ operations team in Mumbai, who not only managed to secure the event successfully but were also recognized by the participating companies for exhibiting core values of vigilance and helpfulness.
The Indo-German Urban Mela is symbolic of a “discourse between the two cultures” with a legacy that will provide an opportunity for the Indian public to share the beauty and infinite functionality of the pavilions for many years to come.
