Securitas Retro Race Team

Securitas Thailand is the proud naming sponsor of the Securitas Retro
Ford Escort Team. All vehicles allowed to race in the Retro events
must be manufactured before 1985. The Securitas Team Driver, who
qualifies individually in the “retro” category, is Dr. Iain Corness, a
medical consultant at Bangkok Pattaya Hospital and renowned author of
“Farang –Thailand Through the Eyes of an Ex-pat.” Our Securitas Team
races in Retro Events aroundThailand regularly competing against
Porsches, V8 BMWs, 300 Horsepower Toyotas, and 600 HP Nissans. Despite
these challengers, and the Escort’s own fair share of pre-85 engine
mishaps, the Securitas Retro Ford Escort Team consistently races
competitively earning recognition and trophies in almost all races it
competes in, and so far this year has scored three class firsts, two
seconds and a third.
