Securitas UK prepares to recognise the best of the best

Now in its seventh year, the Securitas UK Annual Community Awards 2016 event, due to be held this month, showcases the very best of the company’s people and recognises them for their outstanding work over the past year.

This year’s venue, The Belfry Hotel and Resort, near Sutton Coldfield, will host the 40 finalists, along with their guests, customers and event sponsors for what promises to be a glittering evening of achievement.  The finalists have been selected from hundreds of nominations submitted over the past 12 months, and winners for each of the 10 awards categories will be announced on the night.

In addition to the employee awards, the Good Customer award recognises those customers who have contributed greatly to an improvement in the standards and perception of the security industry as a whole and the winner will also be announced at the event.

Brian Riis Nielsen, Securitas UK Country President said: “Our Protective Services are critical to ensuring the on-going and successful operation of our customers’ business, and our people will often go the extra mile to deliver this. These Awards offer a rare chance to bring these outstanding individuals and teams together with our customers, partners and suppliers to celebrate their achievements and I'm very proud of each and every one of our finalists.”

 The event will also feature a charity raffle to raise money for Wooden Spoon (the Children's Charity of Rugby), which funds life-changing projects for disadvantaged and disabled children across the UK and Ireland.  The event is being supported by a number of Securitas’s customers, suppliers and partners: Marks & Spencer plc, Innovise, The Fire Service College, London Fire Brigade,, Axis Communications, Hutchison Technologies Ltd, Sainsbury’s, University of Hertfordshire, British American Tobacco and P&MM Sodexo.
