CCTV Van

The van, which showcases the Securitas logo, has demonstrated considerable success in decreasing and deterring crime incidents since it was introduced in 2013. Equipped with external cameras and audible alarm monitors, the van can be used to either proactively deter crime, or reactively prevent a reoccurrence of past incidents. The system is also equipped with audio and a microphone, which can be utilised in order to warn individuals when they are too close to the van.

The first Securitas CCTV van was created in association with Marks and Spencer, designed specifically to address the retailer’s issues with car park crime. Since deployed, the presence of the CCTV van within Marks and Spencer car park sites has shown a significant 25% reduction in crime.

This flexible and adaptable unit offers a security solution for areas that can be particularly difficult to police using conventional security measures, such as guarding and fixed CCTV devices.

The mobile CCTV van offers a reassuring presence and can be used in the aftermath of any incidents of crime that may have had a negative effect on staff morale and confidence.
