Security Services at Stena Line Ferries

Securitas Security Services UK commenced contracted services to Stena Line Ports in the Netherlands, UK and Ireland in September 2002. There had already been a Scandinavian contract in place between Stena Line AB and Securitas AB since 1998

Securitas handled the TUPE process of approximately 150 officers across 5 different locations in a professional and diligent manner with a 100% success rate. Currently the retention rate of security officers is 97% across the contract; a figure that is exceptional in the UK security market.

Securitas assisted and worked with us in the implementation of the International Ship and Port Facility Code 2004 in the areas of training all our port and ship staff in the UK & Ireland, as well as in the preparation of Port Facility and Ship Security Plans. Securitas are committed to working as a partner with us to improve services to both our internal and external customers.

The Securitas Management of the contract, consisting of a dedicated Contract Manager, local Branch Management with site based Managers ensures a proactive service and provides an immediate chain of communication to both local Stena Port Managers and the Stena Line Group Security Manager.

Such is the level of service that is being delivered by Securitas Security Services UK that we have had no hesitation in awarding them the contract for a further 5 years, from 1st January 2008.
