Securitas Security Services USA believes in the continuing education of its management personnel. It provides the opportunity for them to utilize available tools to be successful in running their business and in their interactions with employees and clients.

The goals of our management training programs include:

  • To promote consistent customer service and employee relations through the development of best practices
  • To expand knowledge about business practices, market concepts and solutions packages
  • To develop leadership capabilities in our management personnel
  • To create a network for management personnel across North America and develop industry leaders

National Branch Manager Training Initiative

Not only do branch managers have to understand their responsibilities, but they must share a common vision and a common language in order to be truly successful. The National Branch Manager Training Initiative creates an environment where each branch manager understands what is necessary to be successful. This initiative is a four-day session covering topics such as Financial Review, How to Work as a Branch Manager, Market Segmentation, Service Delivery, Branch Organization, Client Service and Sales.

Brass Ring Leadership

To follow up and enhance the Branch Manager Training, a second program, Brass Ring Leadership, was established.  Managers create their own learning pace as they work through the reading material, reference links, tests and exercise projects and then follow-up with their area vice presidents. Over twelve months, the lessons cover topics such as the Securitas business model, Customer Service, Hiring & Retention, Office Management, Billing & Collections, Contract Analysis and Risk Management, and provide the branch manager more detail relative to the jobs and activities critical to their success.

Securitas Executive Training (SET) and Securitas Leadership Development (SLD)

SET  is a development program for key executives and leaders within Securitas and SLD is for the continued development of our branch managers. The focus of this year long program is for the participants to gain a better understanding of the Securitas Business Model. The participants interact with division management, along with regional and branch leadership, while they visit various locations throughout the country. Combined with both individual and group assignments, this learning environment creates an opportunity for professional development and teamwork.

ASIS Professional Certification

Professional certification within any industry is the standard by which any professional organization can be measured. Securitas is dedicated to creating an organization that is recognized for its commitment to professional certification. ASIS, the security industry recognized professional organization, has board certified designations that serve to professionalize the security industry. Our managers are encouraged and supported by Securitas to obtain either their Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Physical Security Professional (PSP) designation. We continue to sponsor certification of our managers and have a number of training programs certified by ASIS that support the recertification requirement of this important program.
