Security Officer Training

Securitas USA security officer training is delivered through a highly effective blended approach utilizing classroom learning, on-the-job training and mentoring, practice and drills, self-study, and e-learning with our dynamic proprietary online courses.

Security officer training is structured into three-tiered professional development plans which include:

• Level 1 - Introduction to Security which builds a foundation of basic security skills which all officers must complete before being assigned to a post.
• Level 2 - Site-specific and Advanced Training which includes learning and demonstrating competency of the Post Orders for their assigment.  Advanced Certification training covers more than 30 security topcs and can be studied as needed.
• Level 3 - Professional Development is offered through e-learning and the Securitas Online Academy.

Certified Security Supervisor Program

In security, supervisors are mission-critical.  That is why Securitas USA created the Certified Security Supervisor program for our supervisors and those preparing for supervisory responsibilities.  Participants most complete four core supervisory courses within one year, plus courses in human resources, risk management and e-learning courses in related subjects.
