Securitas acquires monitoring company in Spain

Securitas has acquired the monitoring company Tecniserv in Spain. With this acquisition, Securitas enters the alarm monitoring market in Spain. The enterprise value is estimated to MSEK 76 (MEUR 7).

Tecniserv has annual sales of approximately MSEK 54 (MEUR 5) and approximately 60 employees. The company operates in three areas: service of own connections portfolio, installation of new alarm systems and monitoring of third party connections. The majority of the customers are located in the Madrid area. The acquisition will strengthen Securitas monitoring services’ (also called Securitas Alert Services) operations in Europe. The acquisition is consolidated in Securitas AB as of December 30, 2009.
