Securitas acquires security services company in Argentina

Following the strategy to increase its presence in Latin America, Securitas has acquired the security services company Vigilan in Argentina. Enterprise value is estimated to MSEK 91 (MARS 49).

Vigilan has annual sales of approximately MSEK 97 (MARS 52) and 1,060 employees. The company is mainly operating in guarding services and alarm monitoring in the south of Argentina. A majority of the customers are in the petroleum, energy, retail, industry and bank segments. Securitas is today the market leader in security services in Argentina, with approximately 10,600 employees. The main operations are located to the city and state of Buenos Aires and in the northeast and northwest of Argentina. With this acquisition Securitas expands its business in the southern region of Argentina and will from now on be able to service the entire country. The acquisition is consolidated in Securitas AB as of September 1, 2009.
