Interview with Juha

Why did you apply for the scholarship?

I wanted to gain new experiences, insights and influences to help broaden my views on the potential of technology. Also, potentially to get noticed for my skills and potential.

What did you learn/gain from the study visit?

I learned a lot about technical solutions that are being used to improve efficiency and customer service, including the use of AI and automation. It was interesting to see how technology can help improve processes and enhance the customer experience.

I also learned about the local culture, operational environment, legislation and market drivers. Both France and Finland are experiencing similar challenges, and both organizations share similar views on the potential of AI and where we are in the development of these technologies.

I was introduced to a project management tool that the French team is using to manage large projects and found it so valuable that I shared information about it with colleagues in Finland during my visit.

I also gained insights from the many people I had the chance to interact with, from country management to frontline personnel. We had interesting discussions about customer solutions, technology development and different approaches to managing projects and services.

During my visit, I also had the opportunity to present some advanced solutions that we have been piloting in Finland and exchange ideas with the French team.

One highlight of the trip was visiting a state-of-the-art data center shortly before completion. Hearing about the customer expectations and seeing the level of execution from the French team left a strong impression.

How will you share this knowledge/experience with your organization?

During my visit, I shared key findings with my team as the trip progressed. After returning to Finland, I have continued discussing my learnings with different stakeholders across the organization and am preparing a report to share my observations and insights.

I will also share my learnings with colleagues across Securitas Finland in the spirit of One Securitas.
