APG is based in Denver and has provided security services since 1979. The company is primarily active in permanent guarding, complemented by vehicle patrol services. The company operates mainly in the Rocky Mountain and Pacific Northwest regions (Colorado, Washington, Oregon and Arizona) and has more than 1,400 employees.

The total guarding markets in the affected areas within the Rocky Mountain and Pacific Northwest regions are estimated to MSEK 8,600 (MUSD 954). As a result of the acquisition, Pinkerton will become regional market leader with a market share of 18 percent.

The acquisition price is approximately MSEK 77 (MUSD 8.6). The acquisition gives rise to goodwill of about MSEK 59 (MUSD 6.6), which will be amortized over 10 years.

The acquisition will be included in the Securitas Group from August 2000 and will make a positive contribution to the Group's income in 2000.

Including this acquisition, the USA operations of Securitas will have annual sales of approximately MSEK 13,800 (MUSD 1,530).
