Why did you apply for the Scholarship?

In 2014, I was given an award by the police in Malaga for stopping a woman attempting suicide while I was working in the Port of Malaga. After that, my managers encouraged me to apply for the Melker Schörling Scholarship.

What did you learn/gain from the study visit?

I have gained much more than experience and knowledge; it has been a wonderful personal and professional experience by which I have felt fully recognized by my company and I have had the opportunity to learn a great number of things related to hospitals and other critical infrastructures.

How will you share this knowledge/ experience within your organization?

After my return to Malaga my manager organized a meeting with me so that I could tell him about my experience from the study visit and analyze how we can further improve our security services by using the experiences I got. In addition to this, I was invited by our Country President to go to our headquarters in order to share my experience with him, the Securitas Institute as well as our Communication Department. Shortly my study visit experiences will be shared with all Spanish employees in the Securitas Magazine (Gaceta) and Newsletter.
