UN Global Compact

Securitas has been a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact since 2015.

By incorporating the UNGC's Ten Principles into our strategies, policies and procedures, and our focus on a culture of integrity, we contribute to protecting both people and planet. These principles are built on labor and human rights set out in the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the ILO's Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work and OECD's Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises.

Science Based Targets initiative

The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) partners with CDP, the World Resources Institute, Worldwide Fund for Nature, and the UN Global Compact. Science-based targets provide companies with a clearly defined path to reduce emissions in line with the Paris Agreement goals, that is pursuing efforts to limit warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.

In December 2023, we announced our groundbreaking achievement as the first global security solutions company to be validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). We have undertaken a comprehensive approach, engaging our entire value chain, including clients and suppliers, in a collective effort to address climate change. Despite being a small emitter, we recognize the importance of taking full responsibility for its environmental impact.

We commit to reduce absolute scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas emissions with by 42% by 2030 from a 2022 base year. This ambitious target aligns with the 1.5-degree goal set by the Paris Agreement and endorsed by the Science Based Target initiative.

International Security Ligue

International Security Ligue is one security the central institutions of the security industry.

Security Ligue is an association of private security organizations in the world, represented on all continents, where member companies can exchange ideas and experiences.

The association plays a vital role in defining, establishing and maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards of the private security industry world-wide, for example by striving to develop and implement regulations in order to enhance the professionalism and the quality of the services provided to the security market.

As a member of the organization, Securitas adopted and signed the Ligue Code of Conduct and Ethics. The Code presents a unified approach and framework for conduct and ethics.
