The food and grocery retailer contacted Securitas due to a huge decline in revenue that stemmed from falling victim to organized theft. These thefts had been an ongoing problem for the retailer over an extended period since the modus operandi was quite ingenious and the thefts could be conducted without detection, even though they were conducted in plain sight of customers and personnel. Securitas implemented a video analysis solution for wrong way detection in the store entrance that made it possible for clients to enter the store, but if anyone attempted to leave the store using the entrances a loud alarm would be triggered letting the security guard know that the wrong way detection had triggered and enabling the security guard to intervene instantaneously.
