Securitas enters the security services market in Chile

Following the strategy to further expand its presence in Latin America, Securitas has acquired the security services company FM Seguridad in Chile. Enterprise value is estimated to MSEK 47.5 (MCLP 3.8).

FM Seguridad, with 1,200 employees, has projected annual sales of MSEK 62.5 (MCLP 5) in 2008. The company is operational mainly in guarding, but also in monitoring. It is primarily present in Santiago de Chile and in La Serena in northern Chile.

The acquisition will give Securitas access to the fast growing Chilean security market, estimated to be worth totally MSEK 4,700 (MUSD 800) and which has grown by 25 percent annually during the past four years.

The acquisition is integrated in Securitas as of June 1, 2008
