Securitas expands in France

Securitas in France acquires the Kessler Group with effect from January 1, 1998.
The Kessler Group (Kessler Sécurité and Télésécur) has its main operations in the eastern regions of France and for 1997 the estimated turnover will total in approximately MSEK 120. Guarding activities represent MSEK 80, while alarm business, including 5,000 alarm connections, represents MSEK 40. The total number of employees is approximately 550 persons.

The acquisition will strengthen Securitas` current operations in the region considerably, and, at the same time, contribute to the building of a nationwide alarm business structure. The acquired operation is currently running at break-even. The acquisition price will lie between MSEK 13 and MSEK 23, based on actual result at the end of 1998.

The acquisition will contribute positively to the group`s result in 1998.

After the acquisition, Securitas` total operations in France represent a yearly turnover of approximately MSEK 1,200.
